Year six of Amiga Format covers Issues 61 to 72 and charts the fall of Commodore and its eventual sale in issue 72. By this time, the PC had gained a strangle hold on the market and the Amiga's power was being caught and surpassed. It was in this year that I got my first PC compatible which was a second hand DELL 210. A 286 running Windows 3.11. My university required all projects to be submitted in print and in MS Word format so it was all over bar the shouting at this point.
Issue 72 of Amiga Format represents several milestones in Amiga history. It's release marked the final issue of the sixth year of Amiga Format magazines, it also marked (and celebrated) the Amiga's 10th birthday and finally documents the sale of Commodore Business Machines to Escom in April of that year.
